We Are The Past, Present & Future Of Marine Electronics & Electrical Service

In 1938, a young Cuban boy at the age of 14 (Felix De Valois Rodriguez) decided to leave Cuba with his 18 year old brother (Gines Ildefonso Rodriguez) and join the Merchant Marines. Over an 11 year period the brothers became Marine Radio Officers and were in charge of communications utilizing Morse Code as well as Radar and other forms of navigation as they travelled all throughout the world.

After their military service, in 1950, they moved to Jacksonville, Florida and sold cooking utensils door to door for Wearever while taking courses for their FCC License until they earned enough to start Jacksonville Marine Radio in 1956. Commercial marine electronics for the ships at Mayport and consumer TV's were their specialty.

In 1966, Felix Rodriguez found opportunity in Ft. Myers Beach doing business with the commercial shrimp fleet and moved his family to the Ft. Myers area. Since 1966, Felix Marine has been servicing SW Florida boaters (commercial & pleasure) with Marine Electronics and has grown to offer Marine Electrical Service (ABYC) as well as Marine Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

Felix Marine continues to see growth and success today. When asked to what do you relate the increased prosperity of Felix Marine? Owner Alan Rodriguez responds "Honesty & Integrity". His father, the late Felix Rodriguez, has always believed in this motto and has earned the loyalty of thousands of customers.

Best known for its quality products and personalized services, Felix Marine's foundation was firmly established. Today, son Alan Rodriguez and business partner Joseph Barch continue that same legacy.
